As we have now installed our 2nd production line, we are looking at taking on an additional Team Leader due to increased demand.

About the role

You will be a hands-on leader, leading a team of Carpenter/Fabricators who work with specialised machinery and hand tools such as nail guns, hammers and drop saws to cut and build frames and roof trusses.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Previous experience managing a production line is an advantage.
• A great attitude and desire to lead a busy team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify innovative solutions.
• Strong multi-tasking and time management ability is essential.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of construction methodologies with the ability to read and build from plans.
• Awareness, understanding and commitment to health and safety

Preferred experience and qualifications

• National Certificate in Carpentry or Frame and Truss Manufacturing an advantage.
• Knowledge of NZS 3604: 2011 and understanding of construction methodology an advantage.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles an advantage
• Hands-on experience with MiTek technology an advantage.
