A reminder for Coasties: Tomorrow, Sunday, citybound lane and ramp closures will impact the Northern Motorway and Auckland Harbour Bridge due to the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Marathon, taking place from 4 am to 12 pm.

While the Harbour Bridge will remain open, motorists should expect delays as traffic will be limited to three lanes in each direction.

The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) advises that no detour routes will be necessary, but drivers should allow extra time for their journeys.

Key impacts include closures of the Northern Busway’s bus-only lanes between Constellation Drive and Onewa Road, along with one southbound lane of the motorway after the Esmonde Road interchange.

The Onewa Road southbound on-ramp will also be closed, though the Esmonde Road on-ramp will remain accessible.

Additionally, the Fanshawe Street citybound off-ramp will close from 2 am to 3 pm.
