Auckland surf park gets green light in Dairy FlatFirst surf park in NZ approved.

Developers Adventuur have received resource consent for New Zealand’s first surf park, set to be built in Dairy Flat.

The Auckland Surf Park will offer world-class sport, recreation, hospitality, and tourism facilities, celebrating Aotearoa’s surfing heritage and the area's rural character.

With a focus on sustainability, the park will feature a Spark data centre and a 7-hectare solar farm.

Excess heat from the data centre, powered by renewable energy, will warm the surfing lagoon year-round—a world first.

“We’re thankful for all the support we’ve received, including from leading organisations and athletes,” Adventuur stated.

The park aims to enhance wellbeing and create an iconic destination for locals and visitors.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2024, with the park opening to the public in 2027.
