Legends Gather In Auckland In May 2026.The Blues will launch a Hall of Fame in 2026, with first inductions on Friday, May 15.
For Hibiscus Coast rugby fans, it’s a new way to mark 30 years of the club’s history since 1996.
The Blues Hall of Fame, presented by Barfoot & Thompson, will honour the legends, stories, and defining moments that have shaped the club.
The first class of inductees will be recognised at a formal event at the New Zealand International Convention Centre, bringing together past greats, current players, partners, and the wider Blues community.
Interim CEO Andy Roberts said the Hall of Fame puts the club’s heritage at the heart of its future.
“We want our alumni to feel valued, our community to feel part of the journey, and our current players to understand the legacy they represent every time they pull on the jersey,” Roberts said.
The Hall of Fame is set to cover all eras, from the inaugural Super Rugby title in 1996 through to the Super Rugby Pacific trophy returning to Blues HQ in 2024, and the nib Blues women’s side winning back-to-back titles in 2024 and 2025.
The event will include an induction ceremony, storytelling moments, archival tributes, and appearances from alumni across generations.
A digital hub will also be launched with inductee bios, photography, and video features.
Further details are due in the coming months.
