With Auckland's rainy weather making it the perfect evening to stay in, rugby fans are in for a thrilling match as the Auckland Blues face off against the Fijian Drua in Suva tonight.
The forecast for Suva predicts overcast skies, 78% humidity, and possible thunderstorms with a warm 27°C, making for challenging conditions on the pitch.
But the Blues will be ready for the heat as they aim to continue their impressive run from their recent victory over the Western Force.
Head coach Vern Cotter has made only two changes to the starting XV from that dominant win.
Corey Evans earns a well-deserved start at fullback, while AJ Lam replaces Stephen Perofeta on the left wing after a late change in Round 12.
Perofeta misses out due to injury, with Zarn Sullivan returning to the bench, alongside Finlay Christie and Harry Plummer.
"We were much more consistent against the Force, and we want to carry that momentum into tonight’s game," Cotter said.
"The Drua are a dangerous side, full of flair, and they will be confident at home. We need to bring high intensity from the get-go and feed off their energy."
The match kicks off at 7:05 PM, and fans can expect a thrilling encounter as the Blues take on one of the competition's most dynamic teams.
