A crash on State Highway 1 has blocked the right southbound lane just north of Lonely Track Road as of 10:45am today.

Two cars collided around 10:10am between the Silverdale and Oteha Valley Road offramps.

One of the vehicles is badly damaged, but thankfully, there are no reports of injury.

Emergency services are on-site and directing traffic through the area. Motorists are being asked to expect delays and pass with care.

Police are urging drivers to be patient, with long queues building in both directions.
