Daffodil Day Unites Kiwis in Cancer FightDaffodil Day, 30 August 2024.

New Zealanders unite on the last Friday of August for Daffodil Day, a poignant fundraising event supporting cancer research and patient services.

The Cancer Society of New Zealand organises the annual campaign, symbolised by the resilient daffodil flower, which has raised vital funds for over a decade.

The charity has invested over $50 million in cancer research in the past ten years, improving outcomes for the 27,000 Kiwis diagnosed with cancer annually.

Community support on Daffodil Day brings hope to those affected by cancer, with 1 in 3 New Zealanders facing a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.
