Emergency services are responding to a three-car crash on the Northern Motorway, near the Silverdale off-ramp, which occurred at 11.55am today.

One person has been transported to the hospital, while the crash has resulted in one southbound lane being blocked.

Motorists are advised to expect delays or consider alternative routes.

Both southbound lanes are now blocked following the incident.

Drivers are encouraged to delay their journeys or allow extra time for potential delays and diversions.
