Hibiscus Coast residents can be a guest at the longest dinner table in Orewa.

Beach and Bites - Orewa’s longest dinner is coming in March 2023 and you are invited to be one of 400 guests seated at this rare and spectacular event.

What makes the Beach and Bites Dinner so unique is its ambiance. A long table will be set along a closed-off section of the Hibiscus Coast Highway, and all 400 guests will be seated at it.

The ‘al fresco dining experience is held to showcase the diverse and growing hospitality sector in Orewa. 

This exclusive dinner will take place on Saturday 4 March and is deliciously sponsored by Barfoot and Thompson. The rain date is Sunday, 5 March.

To book your tickets, all you have to do is read through the menus from one of the superb restaurants and choose one that tickles your tastebuds. Then book and pay for it online.

The restaurants are Bake & Brew, Boss Burger, Canton Flavour, Cheek & Chong, Cheeky Chapati, Downbeat, Kawau Bay Kitchen, Ship & Anchor, Tasca, Thai Orewa, and The Real Food Kitchen. 

Some menus are served shared platter style, so check menus before booking. Menus may include foods that contain allergens (ie nuts, seeds, gluten, eggs, soy, etc) so select a menu that best suits your dietary restrictions.

All the restaurants are allocated a certain block area for service. This means that if you book in a group, then you must all order from the same menu so you can dine in the same area. 

Seats are pre-allocated and no walk-ins will be allowed. All guests will receive an email prior to the event with their pre-set seat numbers.

No under 18’s are allowed and you may not bring your own food and alcohol to the dinner. Pop-up bars will be operating selling wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Water will be freely available at the dinner. 

Dinner guests can start arriving between 6pm and 6.30pm.

Mix and mingle with other guests until you have to take your seats at 7pm. The entree will be served at 7.15pm and the main course at 8pm. The last drinks will be served at 9.30pm, and the event closes at 10.30pm.
