A person has died following a two-car crash on East Coast Road in Stillwater during Tuesday night’s stormy weather.

The crash happened just before 7pm, with emergency services responding quickly.

One person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while another was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.

At the time of the crash, the Hibiscus Coast was being hit by heavy rain and strong winds, making for dangerous driving conditions.

Police confirmed the Serious Crash Unit attended and an investigation is now underway to determine what led to the incident.
