Final call for Hibiscus & Bays Local Board GrantsFunding for community projects applications close April 12th .

Community groups in the Hibiscus Bays area have until April 12th to apply for funding in the final round of the 2023/2024 grants programme.


Local Board Chair Gary Brown highlighted the grants' ability to support projects "that change people's lives" across various sectors including sport, environment, arts and community initiatives.

Brown emphasised the importance of applications aligning with local board priorities "to deliver good community outcomes."


This round also includes facilities grants for planning or developing local amenities, and multi-board grants for collaborative projects between multiple boards.


Following a successful first round distributing $115,450 to 36 organisations, Brown expressed a desire to support "as many groups as we can."





Applications for local grants range from $2,000 to $10,000, with facilities grants reaching up to $50,000. Applications are made online at aucklandcouncil.govt.nz.


Decisions will be made on May 28th, with projects commencing after June 1st.
