New Zealand Food Safety is urging caution for people with gluten allergies or intolerance.
A recent packaging error has led to the recall of a specific batch of Mrs Rogers Naturals brand Gluten-Free Batter Mix.
The affected product is actually Mrs Rogers Naturals brand Crispy Golden Batter Mix, which contains gluten, mistakenly packaged as the Gluten-Free Batter Mix.
The recall applies only to batches with the number 7093 and a best before date of 26 January 2026.
"This is an important recall for anyone who relies on gluten-free products," says [Name], spokesperson for New Zealand Food Safety. "We want to ensure people with coeliac disease or a gluten intolerance are aware of this potential risk."
The product was sold at selected Four Square, FreshChoice, New World, Pak'nSave and SuperValue supermarkets throughout New Zealand.
Customers are advised to check the batch number and best before date on the back of the package.
People with gluten allergies or intolerance should not consume the recalled product.
If you have consumed it and have any health concerns, please seek medical advice.
Thankfully, the recall is limited to this specific batch and does not affect other Mrs Rogers Naturals products.
For those who have purchased the affected mix, you can return it to your retailer for a full refund.
