A Milldale property called ‘Sweet Scandi’ has been named Regional Supreme House of the Year in the Auckland Northland Coromandel zone.
The Registered Master Builders House of the Year competition recognises the work of high-quality builders and craftspeople across New Zealand.
The regional competition saw nearly 300 entries throughout the country.
The top 100 winners on points go onto the national final to be held in Auckland in late November.
Sweet Scandi, having been crowned regional winner for houses in the $750,000 to $1,000,000 category, is also included in this list.
Its modest size of 144 sqm offers scale and innovation.
Boasting three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house also provides spacious indoor and outdoor living space.
The entire design combines practicality and aesthetics in mind.
These were all qualities that judges in the competition had praised its design.
The property was built by Stark Building, a Milldale-based company.
Stark Building was also previously awarded various awards for its new builds in 2021 and 2022 in the Milldale area.
