Green Space advocates launch YouTube channelKWGS stress Gulf Harbour Club's enduring sustainability amidst closure concerns.

The Keep Whangaparāoa’s Green Spaces (KWGS) group has recently launched a video addressing concerns surrounding the potential closure of the Gulf Harbour Country Club (GHCC) and its impact on the local community.

The video, available on YouTube, underscores KWGS's belief in the GHCC's essential role in maintaining green spaces within the Whangaparāoa Peninsula.

Despite recent fires causing significant damage to the GHCC clubhouse and associated buildings, KWGS remains resolute in their stance to preserve and restore the golf course and its surrounding greenery.

KWGS spokesperson stated, "The GHCC golf course is not only a viable business but also a crucial component of the original master-planned community vision for Gulf Harbour. Our video discredits the narrative presented in the Resource Consent submitted to the Auckland Council by the current GHCC owner."

While the recent fires have undoubtedly posed challenges, KWGS remains committed to their cause, aiming to educate both existing supporters and a broader audience about the importance of preserving green spaces in the area.

"Our videos serve to inform the public about the potential consequences of the GHCC closure on local businesses and the wider community," the spokesperson added.

The KWGS encourages viewers to engage with their content by watching, liking, commenting, and sharing the videos with friends and other interested parties.

They also urge individuals to subscribe to the KWGS YouTube channel and activate notifications to stay updated on future releases.
