Harbour Bridge Protest to Disrupt TravelCoasties warned of Saturday delays heading south.

Auckland road users are being urged to plan ahead this Saturday, with protest action set to disrupt traffic on the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

The march will head south across the bridge from Northcote into the central city, and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) says southbound drivers should expect delays.

Auckland Transport and NZ Police will be on hand to support safety.

Heavy congestion is expected on both sides of the bridge and across the wider transport network, including state highways and local roads.

Road users are advised to allow extra time or avoid the bridge altogether.

Coasties heading into the city should consider taking the Western Ring Route via State Highways 16 and 18, which NZTA recommends especially for freight vehicles.

For those travelling south, delaying trips until later in the day could help avoid the worst of the disruption.

NZTA and AT will monitor the situation from the Auckland Traffic Operations Centre and share real-time updates.

Travellers are encouraged to check the NZTA Journey Planner and social media pages, while any public transport changes will be updated on the AT Mobile app and website.
