Community groups wanting to deliver projects and events in the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board area have until the latter half of March to apply for funding.
Submissions for the two grants, local and facility grants, are now open.
Local grants are offered twice a year and applications close on 17 March.
The facilities grants are offered once a year and applications close on 24 March.
The local grants support sport and recreation, environment, heritage, arts, events and community projects.
The value of the grant is between $2,000 and $10,000.
The local board urges the applicants to go on to the Auckland Council website to see what is not funded.
The facilities grant provides funding to assist with the costs of planning or developing a facility within the local board area.
The grant can be used for needs assessments, feasibility studies, investigation and design costs, and small building works.
The value of the facility grant is between $0 and $50,000.
The council will not fund improvements to council facilities or property as well as sports fields as this is covered by the Sports Infrastructure Development Project.
The applications for the facility grants close on 24 March.
Last year, 21 community organisations on the Hibiscus and Bays received almost $92,490 from the local board grants programme.
