Hundreds of people in Auckland are currently without power due to an outage affecting several suburbs in the West and North West of the city, including Coatesville, Dairy Flat, Huia, Parau, and Laingholm.

According to Vector the disruption has been caused by vegetation and debris on power lines.

The company estimates that power will be restored to all affected properties between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm today.

In some cases, Vector may be able to re-route electricity from another direction, potentially restoring power to certain properties before the estimated time.
