KFC is teaming up with the Blues to offer a unique experience for fans heading to the Blues vs Force game at Eden Park this Friday, April 5th.
The KFC Gravy Train, a special train wrapped in KFC branding, will take fans from Britomart Station to Kingsland Station, right by the stadium.
The best part? The ride is completely free for anyone with a ticket to the game!
While the exact departure time is a secret (like the Colonel's herbs and spices!), passengers can expect a fun atmosphere and delicious pre-game feast with KFC's famous fried chicken.
This partnership goes beyond just food. It's also a way to encourage people to use public transport for big events.
Many events in Auckland already include free public transport with the ticket, and KFC and Auckland Transport (AT) hope this special train will get more people thinking about taking the train to games.
"We are very excited to be launching The KFC Gravy Train," said KFC's Clark Wilson. "This is a world-first, combining Kiwis' love of rugby and fried chicken!"
Onboard the train, fans will be greeted by a special guest: Blues legend Carlos Spencer! Spencer, acting as the "Train Conclucktor," will be joined by a team of KFC "wingers" serving up chicken to hungry passengers.
"I'm thrilled to give fans the opportunity to ride The KFC Gravy Train," said Spencer. "It's an experience you don't want to miss!"
Andrew Hore, CEO of the Blues, is also excited. "We want more Kiwis to enjoy live Super Rugby at Eden Park. It's affordable, with free public transport, and now with free KFC, it's an even better deal!"
There's only one KFC Gravy Train service, so don't miss out!
Make sure you have your Blues game ticket and head to Britomart Station on Friday, April 5th to catch a ride on this unique train experience.
