A recall has been issued for the Toy Mania 3D Mini Animal Toy – Assorted, sold at Kmart between 12 June and 13 August 2025, after it was found to pose a choking hazard.

The toys contain small parts that may separate, creating a risk of serious injury or even death if a child swallows them.

Parents and caregivers are urged to stop using the toy immediately and return it to the nearest Kmart store for a refund.

Those unable to return the product can phone Kmart Customer Service on 0800 945 995 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm).

Families who have sold or gifted the toy should also notify the new owner.

For Coastie households with little ones, the warning is especially important.
