Drivers heading south on State Highway 1 between Silverdale and Oteha Valley Road should be prepared for daytime lane restrictions starting this weekend.
NZ Transport Agency has advised that southbound lanes will be affected from Sunday 29 June to Thursday 3 July, between 11:00 and 17:00 daily.
The works are part of planned maintenance on this busy stretch of motorway.
Traffic will still be able to move south throughout the day, but motorists are urged to slow down and follow all traffic management instructions to keep workers and other drivers safe.
While these lane restrictions are temporary, they’re likely to cause minor delays, especially during school holiday travel.
Locals travelling between the Hibiscus Coast and the city are encouraged to plan ahead.
These updates were shared by NZ Transport Agency to help minimise disruptions and keep road users informed.
