Lotto NZ will close MyLotto, the Lotto NZ App and all Lotto NZ counters early on Sunday 28 September, reopening later on Monday, to carry out a major system upgrade.
The upgrade brings changes online and in-store.
Spend limits will shift to a single 7-day rolling cap of up to $150 across all games, including Instant Kiwi Online.
The limit refreshes daily based on the past week’s play, and when you log in after the upgrade, the lowest limit you’ve already set will carry over as your default.
Any decreases take effect immediately, while increases activate after 48 hours.
At counters, Lotto, Powerball and Strike will now print together on one ticket, meaning Triple Dips are combined on a single slip.
A new screen will display purchases as they’re made, and scanning tickets, coupons and MyLotto favourites will be simpler.
Ticket checkers will be out of service during the upgrade, so players are asked to use the MyLotto App or have tickets checked by the retailer.
Instant Kiwi Online is also being refreshed, with some games retired and 13 new ones added.
The upgrade goes live on 29 September, and Lotto NZ says the yellow tickets are staying.
From then on, adding Strike to Lotto or Powerball will result in one ticket instead of two.
