We reported this story earlier today—now there’s some good news.
A 39-year-old man has been charged following an alleged hit-and-run in Paremoremo yesterday morning that left two pedestrians injured.
Emergency services were called to Attwood Road around 7:10am after a white ute reportedly struck two women and then left the scene without stopping.
One woman suffered serious injuries, the other moderate. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Williams of Waitematā CIB says the man presented himself at the North Shore Police Station earlier today.
He’s now facing three charges: failing to stop and ascertain injury, and two counts of careless driving causing injury.
He’ll appear in the North Shore District Court on 12 July.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing, but they’ve thanked those who have already stepped forward with information.
