Services removed from 142 urban partner stores.Manly and Stanmore Bay post shops on the Whangaparāoa Peninsula will lose postal services under a 2026 retail network change.
The organisation says it is reshaping its urban retail network to better match how customers use services today, with a bigger focus on parcels and fewer locations overall.
It says the aim is a better in-store experience and stores that can handle parcel sending and collection volumes.
No rural store changes are being initiated at this time.
A recently updated Deed of Understanding with the Government has reset minimum store requirements for the first time since the 1980s, allowing the network to be rebalanced.
For Hibiscus Coast residents who use Manly or Stanmore Bay, local timelines will be communicated well before any change in each area.
Customers are being directed to nzpost.co.nz/store-changes and in-store notices to see what is changing locally and where nearby services will be available.
Nationwide, services will be removed from 142 urban retail partner stores in 2026.
The remaining network will include 567 stores, and it says 90% of people living in urban areas will still be within 4km of a store.
