Milldale’s long-awaited SH1 crossing is on track for a new milestone, with developers confirming that significant progress has been made in key areas.

The motorway corridor works are now fully complete, and the development team expects to vacate the area by the end of October.

In addition, the eastern approach to Milldale is finished, along with motorway barriers and landscaping, marking significant strides in the project.

With 80% of the bridge barriers already installed, attention will now turn to the Milldale approach from John Fair Drive.

The remaining works are expected to be nearly complete by Christmas, pending final council approval.

The opening of the bridge is planned for early next year, promising improved accessibility for locals and commuters alike.
