More Winter Seats on Key FlightsAuckland links to South boost capacity again

Planning a winter getaway?

Coasties flying south might spot bigger planes on the tarmac—and a few more seats to choose from.

Air New Zealand is adding over 36,000 seats to its domestic schedule between 28 June and 25 October.

The airline is switching to larger Airbus A321 jets on selected flights between Auckland and Christchurch, Queenstown, and Dunedin.

That means more flexibility during busy winter months.

Whether it’s students heading back to uni, families chasing snow, or fans off to the All Blacks game in Dunedin on 5 July, these extra seats will help.

This move follows last week’s launch of Air New Zealand’s new jet service between Hamilton and Christchurch.

So if you’re planning a winter break, now might be a good time to book.

More seats often mean more deals—and more chances to make it to the slopes, the lecture hall, or that special event.
