Coasties, get ready for some motorway closures that may impact your travel plans.

The NZ Transport Agency has announced several closures to facilitate motorway improvements, which were delayed due to bad weather.

The closures, which start at 9 pm and finish at 5 am, are scheduled to take place between 12-16 January 2025.

Here are the details:

• Southbound lanes between Constellation Drive off-ramp and Northcote Road on-ramp will be closed on 16 January.
• Constellation Drive southbound on-ramp and Tristram Avenue southbound on-ramp will also be closed on 16 January.
• Northbound lanes between Northcote Road off-ramp and Tristram Avenue on-ramp were closed on 12 January.
• Other closures include Esmonde Road (Loop) northbound on-ramp (14-16 January), Onewa Road southbound off-ramp (13 January), and Shelly Beach Road southbound off-ramp (16 January).

Traffic management may be in place before the advertised closure times for the mainline.

The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists to plan ahead and check for updates before embarking on their journeys.
