The NZ Transport Agency has announced motorway closures for improvement works, delayed due to bad weather, to be completed by 6 September 2024, with closures starting at 9pm and finishing at 5am.

The Northern Motorway (SH1) will experience closures on 4-5 September, affecting southbound lanes between Orewa and Silverdale off-ramps during these hours.

Northbound lanes between Silverdale and Orewa off-ramps will also be closed on the same dates and times.

Motorists are advised to follow signposted detours and plan their route accordingly to avoid disruptions during these overnight closures.
