State Highway 1 between Oteha Valley Road and the Silverdale interchange will be fully closed northbound for maintenance from Sunday 24 August to Thursday 28 August, between 9pm and 5am.

The closures are needed for general upkeep of the motorway and are dependent on weather.

Ramp closures and lane restrictions may start earlier than the advertised times.

Affected ramps include:

• Oteha Valley Road northbound on-ramp
• Silverdale northbound off-ramp
• BP Service Station Dairy Flat on-ramp and off-ramp (no public access)

A signposted detour will be in place via Oteha Valley Road and Dairy Flat Highway.

For Hibiscus Coast commuters, the works mean longer evening journeys and some rerouting around local roads.

Planning ahead and allowing extra travel time will help avoid frustration.

While the closures may cause short-term inconvenience, the maintenance is designed to keep SH1 safe and reliable for the thousands of Coasties who rely on it daily.
