NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) has announced essential maintenance work on State Highway 1 (SH1) from Silverdale to Oteha Valley Road.
The work is scheduled for 8 August, from 9pm to 5am.
Due to weather dependence, the dates might change.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead.
Ramp closures and lane restrictions will be in place.
There will be a full southbound closure with a recommended detour via Dairy Flat Highway and Oteha Valley Road.
Closures generally start at 9pm and finish at 5am.
Traffic management may be set up before the advertised closure times.
Southbound lanes between Silverdale off-ramp and Oteha Valley Road on-ramp will be closed on 4-5 and 8 August.
The Silverdale southbound on-ramp will also be closed on these dates.
Northbound lanes between Northcote Road off-ramp and Tristram Avenue on-ramp will be closed on 7-8 August from approximately 10pm to 5am.
The Northcote Road northbound on-ramp will also be closed on these dates.
Motorists are encouraged to follow the detour signs and allow extra time for their journeys.
This maintenance aims to ensure the road remains safe and reliable for all users.
Residents and businesses in the area have been informed about the scheduled work and potential disruptions.
