NZ Transport Agency advises that maintenance work will take place on State Highway 1 (SH1) Oteha Valley Road to Silverdale (northbound) between Tuesday 17 October and Tuesday 7 November.

NZTA advises this work is weather-dependent and if required, will be carried out on the next available night.

There will be a combination of lane restrictions and full closures northbound.

Lane restrictions will be in place at the following times.

During this time one lane will be available for traffic to travel north for approximately 500 metres:

• From Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 October between 9pm and 5am (night-time)
• From Tuesday 25 to Friday 27 October between 5am and 10am (daytime)
• From Sunday 5 to Tuesday 7 November between 9pm and 5am (night-time)

You will still be able to access the BP Connect Dairy Flat.

A full northbound closure will be in place at the following times:

• From Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 October between 9pm and 5am

The following ramps will be closed:

• Oteha Valley Road northbound on-ramp
• Silverdale northbound off-ramp
• BP Service Station Dairy Flat (no public access)

Please use the recommended detour via Oteha Valley Road and Dairy Flat Highway.

There will be increased noise levels as the team will be carrying out earthworks to repair a slip 500 metres north of Lonely Track bridge.
