Maintenance work on State Highway 1 (SH1) will bring daytime lane restrictions to the southbound lanes between the Silverdale interchange and Oteha Valley Road from Sunday 6 April to Thursday 10 April, the NZ Transport Agency has advised.
The work will take place between 11am and 7pm daily, with crews focused on slip remediation and other essential maintenance tasks.
While southbound traffic will remain open, Coasties travelling to or from Auckland should expect slower journeys and follow all traffic management signs and instructions.
The full maintenance programme is expected to continue until June 2025, with updates to come as works progress along the route.
Locals may also notice an increase in noise in areas near the highway during the work period.
NZTA reminds motorists to drive with care, watch their speed through the work zone, and allow for possible delays.
