Coasties with a hobby for thrifting will be glad to know a new op shop will be joining their community!

Habitat for Humanity will open its new storefront in the heart of Stanmore Bay's op shop hub.

The op shop or “ReStore” will be at 65 Karepiro Drive and will officially open on October 1st.

ReStores accept and resell quality new and gently pre-loved goods.

Shopping or contributing to a ReStore means supporting Habitat for Humanity Northern’s non-profit mission.

Their goal is to provide Kiwis with warm, safe, and adequate housing.

They have operated for over 30 years and have supported over 550 families into home ownership.

A pre-launch event will be on September 29th to celebrate their new location with the community.

This is free to attend and will happen from 3 - 6 pm on Sunday, September 29th.

This is a chance to have an early sneak peek of the store and first dibs on some secondhand treasures.
