Crime Hits Orewa Businesses


Nikos Pizza in Orewa was burglarised over the weekend, with thieves taking the till and eftpos machine.


Despite the setback, Nikos reopened swiftly.


In a separate incident, a man attempted a grocery theft at New World after suspicious activity in Liquorland.

Glenfield College Mourns Principal's Passing


Glenfield College is mourning the loss of Principal Paul McKinley, who passed away.


The school will open to provide support to students today, deviating from the usual timetable.


McKinley, who assumed the principal role in 2017, had a distinguished career in education, previously serving in senior roles at Westlake Boys’ High School and as associate principal of Mount Albert Grammar School.





Paula Bennett Contemplates Auckland Mayoralty


Former Deputy Prime Minister Paula Bennett, a West Auckland resident, is weighing the possibility of running for Auckland mayoralty next year.
