SH1 Dome Valley To Reopen

After a closure due to slips blocking both lanes, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) has announced the reopening of State Highway 1 (SH1) in north Auckland's Dome Valley.

Effective from 7 p.m. tonight, motorists can once again travel in both directions between Wellsford and Warkworth.

However, NZTA urges drivers to exercise caution, adhere to the temporary speed limit of 50km/h, and maintain the left lane to ensure a safe journey on this section of the highway.

Harbour Bridge Remains Open, Strong Winds Pose Potential Disruptions

Harbour Bridge lanes reopen, but strong winds may cause disruptions until 7 p.m.

Reduced speed limits and lane reductions are possible as a precaution, with full closures if winds exceed 90km/h.

Caution is urged for high-sided vehicles and motorcyclists.

Evening peak to see delays, especially northbound.
