Thick fog disrupts Auckland flights and ferries


Auckland Airport has reported disruptions due to thick fog, resulting in four cancelled domestic regional flights and delays for 15 others.


Main routes and international flights remain unaffected.


Ferry services have also experienced delays and cancellations.





SH1 southbound closed for maintenance tonight


State Highway 1 (SH1) will undergo maintenance tonight, resulting in full southbound closures from Orewa to Silverdale interchange.


The affected ramps include Orewa, Millwater Parkway, and Silverdale southbound off-ramps.


Drivers should detour via Grand Drive, West Hoe Road, Centreway Road, and Twin Coast Discovery Highway.


Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes must use the Puhoi southbound off-ramp and take Old SH1 and Twin Coast Discovery Highway.





All Blacks to announce new squad today


All Blacks coach Scott Robertson will announce his first squad today in Christchurch at 5:30 pm.


The selection will include a replacement for former captain Sam Cane.


Following their Super Rugby title win over the weekend, Auckland Blues players are expected to feature prominently in the squad.
