Coasties are encouraged to nominate outstanding individuals or organisations working towards zero waste.

The 2024 Auckland Zero Waste Awards celebrate innovative efforts to reduce waste, with categories recognising young people, groups, businesses, and more.

"The breadth of the award categories recognises the diversity of people, ideas and activities we have in Auckland working towards zero waste.

If you know of an individual or group who are doing wonderful work reducing waste to landfill, then please consider nominating them for a Zero Waste award.

We would love to join you in celebrating their achievements,” said Parul Sood, Deputy Director Resilience and Infrastructure at Auckland Council.

Nominations are open from 1 July to 31 July and can be made at ecomatters.org.nz/zerowasteawards.

The awards night will take place on Thursday, 24 October.
