NZTA App revolutionises driver services

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) introduces a new app, lauded by Transport Minister Simeon Brown and Digitising Government Minister Judith Collins.

"This app simplifies vehicle-related tasks," explains Mr Brown, emphasising its ease in handling vehicle registration, Road User Charges (RUC), and displaying expiry dates for Warrants of Fitness, Vehicle Registrations, and RUC end distance.

"Future updates will enhance functionality, enabling toll payments and displaying vehicles' safety ratings," Mr Brown adds.

Moreover, this innovation marks progress towards introducing a Digital Driver Licence.

"We're committed to eliminating bureaucracy and offering convenient, timely services," asserts Mr Brown, highlighting the app's role in making government more accessible.

Ms Collins underscores the significance of digitalisation, foreseeing improved services and outcomes.

"We urge Kiwi drivers to participate in testing," urges Ms Collins, stressing the importance of user feedback in refining the app's features before its official release.

Starting Monday, users can access details on downloading the Beta NZTA App via nzta.govt.nz/app
