Auckland Transport (AT) has commenced a town centre review in Orewa.

The review aims to assess the current parking demand and supply in the town centre.

Additionally, it seeks to identify parking and traffic problems and their specific locations.

AT will also evaluate potential measures to address these issues and enhance overall parking management.

The scope of the review includes recommending short and long-term measures in collaboration with the Local Board, Business Association, and local businesses.

AT stresses the importance of gathering views, concerns, and ideas from the community to better understand how businesses utilise parking in the town centre and prioritise their needs.

To gain insight into parking occupancy, AT has conducted parking surveys in the area.

The organisation is eager to receive feedback from residents and businesses regarding parking in Orewa.

The consultation period for the Town Centre Review will remain open for two weeks, concluding on the 14th April 2024.
