Coasties, be prepared for overnight closures on State Highway 1 (SH1) this Sunday.

The NZ Transport Agency has announced a full southbound closure from the Silverdale interchange to Oteha Valley Road between 9 pm and 5 am.

The closure will also affect the Silverdale southbound on-ramp and Oteha Valley Road southbound off-ramp.

Motorists are advised to use the recommended detour via Twin Coast Discovery Highway, East Coast Road, and Oteha Valley Road.

Please note that ramp closures and lane restrictions may be in place before the advertised closure times.

Additionally, this work is weather dependent, which may result in a change from the advertised dates.
