Coasties can look forward to a busy year ahead for the Penlink project, with the construction crew returning from their well-deserved break on Monday, 6 January 2025.

The team has made significant progress this year, achieving several milestones.

Some of the highlights include:

• 780,000 cubic metres of earth moved
• 295 metres of network drainage pipes installed
• 1,216 metres of pipe culverts installed
• Over 3,000 cubic metres of concrete poured for the Wēiti River Bridge piers and abutment
• Duck Creek Road Bridge beams placed, deck poured and barriers installed
