New Zealand's population growth has slowed significantly, according to Statistics New Zealand's latest estimates.
As of June 30, 2024, the country's population provisionally stands at 5,338,500, with a growth rate of just 0.1% in the last quarter.
Coasties will be interested to know that the population growth rate has decreased, with only 7,000 new residents added in the quarter ended June 2024.
