Coasties, if you’re planning on being near Albany on Sunday, be aware that several road closures and bus detours will be in place for Run Albany—the grand finale of the North Shore Run Series.

The event kicks off at 07:30 on Sunday, 16 March 2025, and runs through to 10:00.

To keep the course clear and safe for runners, a number of streets in Albany will be closed, including:

• Don McKinnon Drive
• Appian Way
• Wanboet Lane
• Davies Drive
• Munroe Lane
• Corban Avenue
• Stadium Drive

Bus stops at Westfield Albany and on Munroe Lane will also be closed for about 2.5 hours. Bus routes 83, 917, 126, and 861 will detour during this time.

Organisers are expecting a great turnout to celebrate the end of the summer fitness season.

If you’re heading to Albany on Sunday morning—whether by car or public transport—it’s a good idea to allow extra time and plan your route.
