Emergency services rushed to Central Boulevard in Silverdale around 6.50am today after a serious crash involving a car and a truck.

Police say one person is in a critical condition.

Central Boulevard has been closed while emergency crews attend, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

The Serious Crash Unit is on site and WorkSafe has been notified.

An investigation will determine what caused the collision.
