Waka Kotahi advises motorists travelling on the Hibiscus Coast stretch of the SH1 motorway to be aware of the following;

Orewa to Warkworth, due to flooding and large slips, SH1 is closed between Grand Drive, Orewa and Woodcocks Rd, Warkworth.

This section of SH1 is likely to remain closed for some time.

Delay your journey or consider an alternative route such as SH16.

Also, Silverdale to Oteha Valley Road, southbound, due to a large slip, just prior to the Slow Vehicle Lane, the left southbound lane is blocked.

Expect delays.
