If you're heading into town next week, keep an eye out for lane restrictions on State Highway 1.

From Monday 26 to Thursday 30 May, maintenance crews will be working between the Silverdale interchange and Oteha Valley Road between 11am and 7pm each day.

This work is part of ongoing slip repairs, with the full project expected to run through until June 2025.

Southbound lanes will remain open, but some lane closures will be in place, so delays are likely.

Drivers are asked to slow down and follow all traffic management instructions to keep everyone safe.

You may also notice increased noise levels during the day as the crew carries out the repairs.

Planning ahead and allowing a little extra travel time will help make the journey smoother for everyone.
