SH1 northbound will close overnight for maintenance near Albany on Thursday, January 29.

NZ Transport Agency says the closure runs from Constellation Drive to Oteha Valley Road between 10pm and 5am.

The work is weather dependent, so dates may change.

Ramps and links closed on SH1 northbound include:

• Constellation Drive northbound on-ramp
• Greville Road northbound off-ramp
• Greville Road northbound on-ramp
• Oteha Valley Road northbound off-ramp
• SH18 eastbound to SH1 northbound link

The recommended detour is to exit at Constellation Drive, turn left onto SH18 Constellation Drive, then use Paul Matthews Road, Bush Road, Albany Expressway, and Oteha Valley Road.

SH18 will also have a full eastbound closure from Albany Highway to Paul Matthews Road on Thursday, January 29 between 10pm and 5am.

Ramps and links closed include:

• Albany Highway eastbound on-ramp
• Paul Matthews Road eastbound off-ramp
• SH18 eastbound to SH1 northbound link

The recommended detour is via Albany Highway, Bush Road, and Paul Matthews Road.

Ramp closures and lane restrictions may be in place before the mainline closure times. Nearby properties may notice more noise during the work.

Penlink project works on SH1 will also see a full northbound closure between Oteha Valley Road and the Silverdale interchange from Tuesday, January 27 to Wednesday, January 28, between 9pm and 5am.
