The Silverdale Business Association has unveiled a comprehensive business plan to drive growth and prosperity in the Silverdale community. 

Their year-long business plan came into effect when Silverdale became a business improvement district (BID) on 1 July.

Besides improving security and doing what they can to prevent crime across Silverdale, their strategic initiatives include three other areas: connectivity, marketing and promotions, and advocacy.

“We want to host an annual networking programme featuring high-profile guest speakers,” says General Manager of the SBA, Tasha Gummer.

They are also looking into developing an accurate and comprehensive business directory, covering all the businesses in Silverdale. 

Tasha says the association is committed to promoting local businesses and driving visitor spending.

They also want to manage their presence on all the social media platforms and organise seasonal and special occasion marketing campaigns to encourage increased foot traffic and spending.

“Large community events are also in the pipeline to unite the community,” says Tasha.

She says advocacy is a crucial component of the Silverdale Business Association's plan, and they aim to be a powerful voice for the Silverdale community.

“Our comprehensive plan reflects its dedication to fostering growth and prosperity in the community,” says Tasha. 

“We want to provide a unified and robust voice for all the businesses in Silverdale. 

“With a strong emphasis on connectivity, marketing, security and advocacy, we are poised for a successful year ahead.”
