Singapore has achieved a record-breaking visa-free score, with its citizens enjoying access to 195 destinations worldwide.
This marks a new record and solidifies Singapore's position as a global leader in travel freedom.
Locals will be pleased to know that New Zealand has jumped up the ranks, improving from 6th place to 4th, tied with several other countries, with a visa-free score of 190.
New Zealand shares the 4th spot with Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
Dr. Christian H. Kaelin, Chairman of Henley & Partners, notes that "the general trend over the past two decades has been towards greater travel freedom, with the global average number of destinations travellers are able to access visa-free nearly doubling from 58 in 2006 to 111 in 2024."
The UK and the US have experienced a decline in their passport rankings, with the UK hanging onto 4th place and the US dropping to 8th spot.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan remains the world's weakest passport, with its citizens having access to only 26 countries visa-free.
