Strong winds gusting up to 70 km/h caused disruptions across the Hibiscus Coast earlier today.
The Auckland Harbour Bridge was impacted, with lane closures and reduced speed limits implemented for high-sided vehicles and motorcycles.
Due to the high winds, motorists were advised by the NZTA to use the Western Ring Route (SH18/SH16) as an alternative.
Ferry services were also affected, with some cancellations and delays reported.
By 5 pm, the wind gusts had eased, and all lane closures on the bridge were lifted.
Traffic delays have since subsided.
The weather tomorrow is expected to be partly cloudy with fairly breezy southwesterly winds, according to MetService.
No further disruptions are anticipated.
