Drivers on the Northern Motorway near Orewa face heavy delays today after a truck crash near the Millwater off-ramp.

Police say the crash was reported just after 11.30am and involved a truck on the motorway close to the Millwater exit.

There are no reports of injury, but the incident has caused significant congestion in both northbound and southbound lanes.

Motorists are being urged to expect delays in the area or use an alternative route while the scene is cleared and traffic slowly eases.
